KARL

Neutered male Collie/Shepherd(?) mix; approx 10 years old, ~65

Very sweet and people-oriented

Energetic and no age-related problems -- very young acting and young at heart

Will challenge other dogs and fight over food; this is a recent development, presumably brought on by a period of starvation as a stray

Recommend no other dogs, unless owner is already practiced at feeding seperately and not giving treats in groups

Requirements: $100 (adoption fee/donation for Senior dog), application approval & home visit, at least one obedience course, fenced yard

WENDI

Spayed female Collie, approx 2 years old, 55 lbs

Very sweet, loves attention

Energetic, likes to play. Official "Referee" -- will bark when others play too rough

Picture above current as of July '09 - she is growing out a horrible haircut

Recommend another dog as a friend; will try to play with cats, but is easily put off by hissing

Will climb 4-foot chain link fence -- recommend leash walking only!

Requirements: $250 (adoption fee/donation), application approval & home visit, at least one obedience course

BENJAMIN

Large-boned, chunky and adorable neutered male Sheltie, approx 8 years old, 48 lbs

Very sweet, loves attention

Likes toys, will play "Fetch"; likes to play with other dogs, but can be bossy and will nip other dogs if he thinks he's going to be stepped on

Requirements: $100 (senior adoption fee/donation), application approval & home visit, at least one obedience course, fenced yard
